JOYA MUKERJEE LOGUE

BIO

Joya Mukerjee Logue (1976).

Born to an Indian father and American mother, painter Joya Mukerjee Logue works in both oil and watercolor on paper.

Mukerjee Logue’s practice is inspired by her mixed heritage, supported by memories of the Indian influences while growing up in Ohio, ongoing research into her cultural identity and regular travels to India. Women are a focus of her works, which exhibit a timeless quality rooted in memory and experience.
